THE LEGO PARTS AND THE CONSTRUCTION PROCESSES

LEGO PARTS DOES NOT GO FASHION AND ENTHUSIASTIC TO CONSTRUCTION PROCESSES

The lego set carries a classic architectural scale that is all about the construction of THE LEGO HOUSE. The work carries an extensive exhibition space and public squares that present culture and a value from all LEGO game building experiences.
You are passionate about construction, the LEGO house is your best option, it is an experience center designed by BIG and COWI, this game is for you, it is for different ages, it is an architectural milestone and a significant step towards the objective become a capital for children. The construction of this 12,000 m2 building began in 2014, replacing the old city hall building.
The LEGO house is located in the heart of the heart of Billund with 23 meters high, it is conceived as an urban space and center of experiences for construction. It has 21 overlapping blocks placed as individual buildings, framing a 2,000-square-meter LEGO plaza that is illuminated through the cracks and gaps between the volumes. The square appears as an urban cave with no visible columns and is publicly accessible, allowing visitors and citizens of Billund to have direct access to the building.
The LEGO Square is energized by an urban character, welcoming locals and visitors to the cafeteria, restaurant, LEGO store and conference facilities. Above the plaza, a group of galleries overlap to create a continuous sequence of exhibitions. The construction of each gallery is coded by LEGO’s primary colors, so searching for exhibitions becomes a journey through the spectrum of colors. The construction of the first and second floors includes four play areas organized by color and programmed with activities that represent a certain aspect of a child’s learning: red is creative, blue is cognitive, green is social and yellow is emotional . At the time of its construction, they decided that rooms for guests of all ages can have an immersive and interactive experience, express their imagination and, above all, face other constructions from around the world. The construction of the top of the building is crowned by the Masterpiece Gallery, a collection of creations loved by LEGO fans that pay tribute to the LEGO community.
The Masterpiece Gallery is made from the iconic 2 × 4 LEGO brick and displays art below eight circular skylights that resemble the brick’s lace. Like the golden ratio, the proportions of the brick are nested in the geometries of everything man-made in the building, from the glazed ceramic tile on the steps and walls to the overall 21-block outline. At the top of the Masterpiece Gallery, visitors can get a 360 ° panoramic view of the city. The construction allows access to some of the ceilings via “pixelated” public stairways that double as informal auditoriums for people-watching or seating for presentations.
Ceramic Piece: The ceramic façade carried out by NBK and C2 Elements is reminiscent of the iconic LEGO set. These pieces that make up the tiles on the steps and walls of the set of 21 blocks, have been made up of white enameled stoneware, extruded and fired at high temperatures.
